Bonafide staff went fishing for river trout (Bachforelle or “salmo trutta fario”) in the beautiful river called Urnäsch in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden (see above image).

Our CEO Christop Baldegger loves to go fishing, it is his favorite pastime.

The image below shows one of the beautiful river trouts we caught that day.  Quite some size this one had.

We caught enough in just a few hours. It allowed us to feed both our families with freshly grilled fish for that day. What a treat.

Perfect conditions for fishing and a very great surrounding.

Our catch of the day is shown below.

  • Interesting fishing trip that was.

So I thought I write the first comment about this blog post.

Do you offer afternoon or day trips of trout fishing for your clients?

Whilst I know little about fishing, except for the experience I had as a kid in the Lake Zurich, I do appreciate its calm.

Last time I went ice fishing

May last great fishing trip was to go ice fishing in Canada near Lethbridge.
We took our mobile hut, used a special ice drill (motorized of course) and cut through about 80 cm of ice or thereabouts to get down to the water. We made a hole of about 40 cm. in diameter.

Then we sat in the hut with our fishing rods.
We drank tea out of our thermos bottles and waited, whilst the wind was hauling around our little hut. The wind was so strong, we had to use some tools to stabilize it on the ice… we would have otherwise moved…. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Dear Urs

Thank you very much for your comment. Very interesting is your question:

Do you offer afternoon or day trips of trout fishing for your clients?

Actually, so far we have not tought about this but are now 🙂

Maybe in the future we will organize such a trip for some of our clients. An example might be a day or half-day trip with some clients.
I will keep you posted about how we are progressing on this but thanks for this helpful suggestion.

      Greetings
      Gilbert
